HND Hospitality Management
The HND Hospitality Management will give you the knowledge and hands-on skills to succeed in a managerial position in the growing hospitality industry. The course aims to give well-rounded, interdisciplinary knowledge in theoretical and practical levels of administrating in the Hospitality sector. HND Hospitality provides opportunities for learners to focus on the development of higher-level skills in a hospitality management context, including investigatory and research skills focusing on management issues within the context of hospitality, leisure or tourism.
The focus of this qualification is on extensively developing the knowledge, understanding and skills of the learner in the field of hospitality management in a range of sectors, including those suggested above. Learners will benefit from developing these skills, techniques and attributes which are essential for successful performance in contributing to working life within the hospitality industry. This qualification aims to develop the higher level skills in a hospitality management context, including investigatory research and research skills focusing on management issues within the context of hospitality, leisure or tourism. This is an ideal route for providing flexibility, knowledge, skills and motivation as a basis for future studies and career development in hospitality management.
You will develop skills in marketing, finance, human resource management, operations and logistics, as well as the knowledge you need to become an effective manager.
The HND Hospitality Management is a vocational course. This means that not only do you learn the theoretical aspects but it also provides you with ability to relate this to the real world of work. Evaluating the application of these theories and concepts puts you at an advantage of being a strategic thinker and proactive manager in turbulent economic times.
This course provides a specialist work – related programme of study that covers key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the hospitality industry and also offers particular specialist emphasis through the choice of specialised units. You will develop the leadership, operational and administration skills you need for a truly successful career in hospitality. The course aims to prepare students with the necessary business skills with which to operate in the hospitality Industry as it is considered to be one of biggest and strongest industries all over the world.

Students will also be equipped with hospitality and management knowledge and skills for employment in their home country. A degree will provide a sound foundation for a variety of careers in the hospitality sector. On completion of this programme you will be well placed to develop a career in a variety of roles within the Hospitality sector including: Hotel Receptionist, Hotel Manager, Accommodation Manager, Restaurant Manager and Events Organiser/Manager.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18 years old;
- Applicants are required to submit proof of prior certificated learning (e.g. Secondary School Diploma/Baccalaureate/Level 3 qualification) or relevant work experience;
- Applicants who do not have English as their first language will be required to demonstrate an approved level of proficiency in the use of the English language;
- An interview with the college is compulsory prior student registration.
- Applicants must bring their original certificates when coming for registration;
